At a Circuit House meeting on Monday, a four-member Legislative Council committee expressed displeasure at the failure of the Varanasi tour minutes to be received. At the meeting chaired by Deputy Chairman Hiralal Yadav, the members of the committee stated that the protocol established by the state government was not being followed. When he reached the Circuit House, he was not given an honor guard, nor was an ambulance used in his fleet as per protocol.

Whereupon DM Kaushal Raj Sharma gave information on each point. Deputy Chairman Hiralal Yadav said that the administration should always intervene on letters from public representatives, this increases the government’s confidence in the public. MLC Ashutosh Sinha asked if permission had been obtained from the ward or House of Representatives to build Rudraksh, to which the Additional Ward Commissioner was unable to provide an answer. The MLC also asked about the parking tariff in Godoulia.
