The county government, tourism, kasada, temple area management committee, and city government have come together to beautify the Hiranyavati River ghats and sites listed in the Pages of History. In this sequence, the bank of the Hiranyavati River will soon be illuminated with milky lights at night from Deoria Mod, i.e. Hiranyavati Ghat to Buddha Ghat.
This historic river has faced the worst condition for years, but for the past five years, ghats and sites along the sacred Hiranyavati River like the Ganges have been developed to attract tourists for its importance and for Buddhist devotees. The Kushinagar Kushinagar community has also installed fancy path lights along the path from Hiranyavati Ghat (Deoria Marg) to Buddha Ghat near Ramabhar Stupa by spending Rs 20 lakh from state finances. These lamps are being tested. It will be ready soon. The Fancy Pathway Light has a milky shade. This illuminates the bank of the river at night. 55 lights were installed along the approximately two-kilometer route. They were also installed in the children’s park.
According to the story, before his Mahaparinirvana, Lord Buddha’s disciple Anand had brought the water of this river to drink when he was thirsty. Then he had Mahaparinirvana. Since then, the age and purity of this river have been preserved. Tourists from all over the country and abroad come to see this river and some Buddhist devotees also carry the river’s water home in containers. Currently, the Karuna Sagar Park area is being developed along the river. It is located in Kushinagar between National Highway-28 and National Highway-28B. In addition, Jeevak Park and Anand Park in Buddha Ghat have been equipped with boat trips on the river, state-of-the-art toiletries, children’s park, fast food canteen, etc.
Municipal EO Premshankar Gupta said fancy path lights have been installed to illuminate the path along the river at night. The launch will soon take place via MP and MLA. At night, the sight of milky light casts a wonderful shadow into the river water.
