Mid-day Meal Cook Will Look Like A Chef Who Cooks Food In Hotels

The headmaster and village head will buy aprons, gloves and caps for the cooks.
Mid-day meal scheme (MDM) is being run for about 2.10 lakh children studying in 1465 government schools in the district. Around 4110 cooks are employed under the scheme. The education of children has been affected a lot due to corona infection. Schools from class VI to VIII have opened. Whereas the schools of classes 1st to 5th will open from September 1.
The government has made a new arrangement so that the students do not face any kind of problem when the school opens. The cooks who cook the children’s mid-day meals in schools will now be seen in a new look. Cooks will make MDM only by wearing apron, gloves and cap. The headmaster will have to take photographs of the cooks while preparing the food every day and send them to the department. On behalf of the department, the budget has been released at the rate of Rs 400 per cook in the joint account of the headmaster of the schools and the village head. In this regard, District Coordinator MDM Piyush Pandey says that the budget has been released in the joint account of the village head and headmaster.
