
In the ongoing excavation work on the Pandav mound in Hastinapur of Meerut district, the team of the Archaeological Department has found the remains of the temple pillar on Wednesday. Along with this, gravel pottery, bones, glass and conch bangles, painted pottery have also been found. Experts have expressed the possibility that this pillar of about three feet could be 2500 years old. This pillar, which came out of the excavation, is believed to be between the 10th and 11th centuries. Beautiful carvings are also visible in it. Experts believe that there is a possibility of having a temple here in ancient times. In view of such possibility, the team is trying its best to find other ancient facts. At present, all the remains have been preserved for examination. The excavation has reached about 25 feet in the trench set up on the Pandav mound. Possibility of opening big secrets The team of the Department of Archeology expressed the possibility that many big remains can be found here. Many mysteries can be uncovered. The people of the area believe that the facts available so far have proved that many big secrets are buried in the Pandava mound. Evidence has been found in the excavations that Hastinapur was destroyed by floods many times. With the discovery of ornate pillars, the possibility has increased that there must have been a temple here in ancient times. ,
