Last year, Ponniyin Selvan-I was a huge hit in theaters amid the low success rate of movies at the box office. Mani Ratnam’s masterpiece PS 1 received positive reviews from both the public and critics. After a few months of release, the creators have now announced the second installment. PS2 was also shot with its first chapter, but it will be released this year. While announcing the second part, the filmmakers also revealed the release date of the highly anticipated film. On Tuesday, creators PS, Lyca Productions, and Madras Talkies unveiled Ponniyin Selvan 2. He shared a poster on social media announcing his collaboration with IMAX and revealing the release date. A film based on Kalki’s novel can be experienced in all its IMAX splendor on April 28. Yes, PS2 will be showing in IMAX theaters and will be released on April 28th. Mani Ratnam is back with an epic PS-I second chapter starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha Krishnan, Vikram and Jayam Ravi. The long-awaited sequel to the biggest Tamil film of 2022 will be released in IMAX theaters across India. PS2 will continue the PS2 story about the Chola Emperor, Raja Raja Chola, who was the most powerful king in the South during his time. Ponniyin Selvan 2 Release Date Announced
Ponniyin Selvan: II is directed by Mani Ratnam and produced and distributed by Subaskaran’s Lyca Productions, the top Tamil film. Ponniyin Selvan is based on a novel of the same name written by Kalki Krishnamurthy and has been adapted for film by noted director Mani Ratnam. Ponniying Selvan 2 is scheduled to be released on April 28, 2023.
PS 1 is an epic period drama directed by Mani Ratnam. It stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, and Vikram in lead roles. It was released on September 28 of last year in several languages. The film is produced under the banner of Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions.
