Popular actress Mandira Bedi never misses a chance to spend quality time with her kids. She is a proud mother to two kids son Veer and daughter Tara whom she adopted in 2020. The super mommy often shares glimpses of her kids on social media handles and leaves her followers in complete awe. Recently, in an interview to a news portal, Mandira had said that if she had a daughter as the first child, she might have adopted a girl child.

Mandira told ETimes, “If Tara was our first child, I don’t know if we would have adopted a boy as our second child. In our country, nowhere compared to boys looking for parents. There are more girls.” Talking about the names of their children, she said, “Raj and I had decided that if our first child is a son, we will call him Veer, and if it is a daughter, we will call him Tara. Hence, Tara didn’t do that. Tara became when we first saw her.”

In 2020, welcoming Tara to her family, Mandira posted a family picture of herself, Raj, Veer and Tara on Instagram and wrote, “She has come to us like a blessing from above. Our little girl, Tara. Four years and a little. With eyes that shine like stars. Sister to his hero. Welcoming him home. With open arms and pure love. Grateful, thankful so blessed. Tara Bedi Kaushal. Became a part of our family on 28th July 2020.”

Earlier, in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Mandira opened up on her decision to adopt Tara and said that she always wanted a daughter. “We wanted it to happen. I wanted a brother for Veer, I wanted a little daughter and I love doing her hair and putting bows in her hair and framing her. Looks like I don’t have enough time to play.” She is so sweet, sweet and lovely”. When asked about her advice for adopting other people, Mandira recalled how she was given three options on the adoption form So that they can choose the state they want to have a child from. “They give you those three options, so we had Maharashtra, we had Delhi, we had Punjab/Himachal, just because they had three options that They had asked. And “anywhere in India” was in the fine print too. And that “anywhere in India” moves your position in that queue really fast. So for those who want to adopt, I just That’s what I would recommend.”
