Following his interview, musician MGK, who lost the award for “Best Album by rock” before Ozzy Osbourne for his “Mainstream Sellout” album, she had a brief therapy session that had a profound effect on the Internet. In an interview on the red carpet, the artist opened up about the pressure she’s felt at awards shows and throughout her career in general. She candidly admitted: “I always feel quite uncomfortable here.” Kelly explained that her fiancée, Megan Fox, had instructed him to see her if he ever felt “too exposed” during the night.
Machine Gun Kelly, who walked the carpet with his fiancée Megan Fox in a silver suit he impersonated “like a phoenix from the ashes,” was brimming with emotion, gratitude and determination to win a Grammy next season. MGK was quoted as saying, “Finally, I am very happy to be in the company of such great musicians,” expressing his mixed feelings. “I didn’t take home qualifying, and I almost feel like I asked for that lesson.” “I felt that I lacked self-esteem and gave myself more importance than I needed for my professional achievements.” He continued: “Once the self-love is there for me, things like awards and all that will come.”
The fans appreciated this effort to come out and speak to the crowd and openly address what needed to be said. Before the awards night, Kelly also spoke about it on her Instagram story and said that she was grateful to have come this far from her. “No matter what the outcome is, whether we win the Grammy or not, I’m very happy to be on this journey as it has turned out,” she commented. “I’m thankful for the family I have, the friends, the shows, the laughs, the crying, all that shit.” It helped me get here to experience a moment like this, so I mean, look, we’ve already won.”
