Lock Up fame Payal Rohatgi and Sangram Singh will tie the knot on July 9

Ever since Sangram Singh announced on the lock-up that he would tie the knot with Payal Rohatgi in July, speculations about the date have intensified. Earlier there were reports that the two will tie the knot on July 21, but Sangram recently confirmed during an interview that the date is July 9.

He said, ‘I am both excited and nervous. We are together for so long. Marriage is an important aspect of our lives and we look forward to being happy and blessed as we embark on a new journey together. Payal and I will get married on July 9. My mother and sister helped us set the date. We are currently in the process of zeroing in on the site. We will have a destination wedding, which will be a low key affair in Ahmedabad or Udaipur.

Talking about his wedding plans and why he had to delay for so long, Sangram said, “The planning had to be suspended twice because we lost our loved ones. I always knew that I would never find a partner like Payal and it was only a matter of time in our marriage. Neither Payal nor her family ever forced me to take this step. But now our parents are old and we have been together for so many years and then we have to do it.

Talking about his mantra for a successful long relationship, Sangram said, “Payal and I are like chalk and cheese. He is brutally honest and I think before I speak. But what binds us together is our understanding. A relationship is not about sending or posting ‘I love you’ messages for each other. A couple has their share of fights, which happens in every relationship, be it with your parents, siblings or friends. I believe that your opposition should be with the thoughts and not with the person. Payal and I follow this rule to t. So if we fight, we reconcile in no time. Rest of my English is fine, now fights are in English. Initially, I did not understand what he said during the fight (laughs!).
