Local Fault – Faults caused by rain, supply disrupted


Fatehpur. Heavy wind accompanied by rain caused faults in the high-tension lines at many places and the supply came to a standstill. A 33 KVA line wire broke on Tuesday night near the outpost crossroads in Hathgam area. Due to this the supply of 40 villages was cut off. Linemen corrected the fault on Wednesday, then supply could be restored in the afternoon.
A pole connected to the Samvat feeder of Mahicha sub-station broke in the morning. Due to this there was power failure in Rakhelpar, Ajaipur, Chandpur, Hariharpur, Busraha, Rasulpur, Palwa villages. The pole could not be replaced till Wednesday evening. This increased the problems of the people.
Under Engineer RN Yadav said that it rained throughout the day. Supply will be restored soon by installing second pole. According to the Aung representative, there was a fault in the Galatha and Aung feeder of Durgaganj sub-centre at three o’clock on Tuesday. Due to this the power supply to 30 villages was cut off. The supply of Galatha Pump Canal, local factories, factories are disrupted. JE Ravi Kumar told that the fault will be rectified after the rain stops.
