Dhampur. Dhananjay Singh, Assistant Engineer, Afzalgarh Irrigation Division, Dhampur, said that even though it is raining on the hills. But due to this rain, the possibility of flood in the plains is not far away. The water in Rehar ka Yellow dam is currently less than capacity.
In Dhampur tehsil area, when there is a possibility of flood in Dhara, Baneli and Fida river, when the yellow dam of Rehar gets filled with water and the rain does not stop. The flood posts have been kept on full alert by the department. It has been directed that if any kind of adverse situation arises, then it should be informed immediately. By the way, work has also been done by the department to eliminate the possibility of floods at many places on these three rivers. AE said that though the water in Ganga is flowing less than its capacity. But even after less water in the Ganges, more harvesting is happening. Every effort is being made to stop the erosion. The officers of the department along with the team are engaged in stopping the erosion of Ganga. Even in the Ramganga dam of Kalagarh, less water is collected than its capacity. At present, efforts are being made to fill the reservoirs with water as per the standard. He also expected the residents of the area to cooperate with the officers of the department.

The Assistant Engineer said that the capacity of the Yellow Dam is 39.2 million cubic meters. Relative to which only 9.37 MCM water has been collected till 8 o’clock on Tuesday. According to AE, eight canals of the area are also running out of this water. In which cubic water is being passed through. There is no threat of flood in the area so far.
