The main archaeological site of Kushinagar, the Mahaparinirvana site of Lord Buddha, has been closed since April 15th due to the covid epidemic. After two months, on Wednesday, they opened at sunrise. But one can only be admitted if the conditions of the Kovid guidelines are observed. In addition to the use of masks, rules for social distancing were introduced for the Mahaparinirvana Temple, the Mantha Kunwar Temple and the Ramabhar Stupa. The tourism business has been hit by the closure of these major tourist destinations amid the covid epidemic. The number of domestic and foreign tourists who came here was very small. According to the data recorded by the Tourism Office, the number of tourists in 2020 and 2021 was very low from February to May.
