Manit Joura is enjoying his second stint in Kundali Bhagya. The actor is back on the show and is relishing the experience. Manit, who has been a part of TV shows like Prem Bandhan, Ram Milayi Jodi and Naagin 6, during a recent interview with BT, admitted that there have been times when he has worked only for money.
He said, “I took some projects just for money, but over time, I realized that the money I get from it doesn’t satisfy the actor in me. Since then I stopped doing projects for money. And now, I do the work that makes me happy as an artist.”
He continued, “For me, less is more when I give a bad shot on the sets. In the last 16 years of my acting career, my failures have taught me more than my success.”
On the personal front, last year was a tough one for him after his mother was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Talking about it, she shared, “She was unwell and that was one of the reasons I left Kundali Bhagya, which I did not disclose at that time. I just wanted to spend all my time with my mother. By the grace of God, she has been treated and is feeling much better now.”
Being an actor helped him get his mother treated. “We were unable to get an immediate appointment with a neurosurgeon in Mumbai. And we were in a hurry seeing his condition. I was leaving the hospital with a heavy heart when I suddenly met a doctor who knew me as an actor. His mother was a fan of Kundali Bhagya and asked me if I could talk to him over a video call. I did that and soon I realized he was a neurosurgeon. I told him about my mother’s condition and he was very kind. He immediately admitted her and her treatment started. I am very grateful for this,” he said.
