The contestant went on to say, “Sir, everyone has friends who talk about celebrities. Mine told me about you. He said, “Amitabh Bachchan attempted the test.” I want to know whether it is true, sir. Did you strive CDS and NDA tests?
The ‘Zanjeer’ well-known actor mentioned, “When I fainted in school. I didn’t know what I should do. Right opposite my house in Delhi lived an army major general. He saw him often.”
“One day he approached my father (Harivansh Rai Bachchan) and said, ‘I love this boy. I will make sure he becomes an army officer. I thought about doing that. I tried, but it was useless,” Big B mentioned.
The actor additional mentioned, “I also wanted to join the Air Force. We have much in common. We both obtained bachelor’s degrees. We both aspire to join the Air Force. They rejected me as soon as they saw me saying that I had long legs.”
Amitabh made his appearing debut in 1969 with the movie ‘Saat Hindustani’, for which he received the National Film Award for Best New Actor.
