Katy Perry had wonderful things to say about Miranda Kerr, her fiancée and ex of actor Orlando Bloom. On Saturday, Katie and Kerr attended the 20th annual G’Day USA Arts Gala in Los Angeles. The 38-year-old singer and the 39-year-old model walked the red carpet and posed for photos together. Later, Katy Perry presented Miranda with an Award for Excellence in the Arts. Before the “Roar” singer presented Kerr with his award, she wrote a sweet and heartfelt message for him. Referring to her relationship dynamics, Katy said, according to PEOPLE, “Some of you may be confused as to why I’m featuring Miranda. It’s not in the old narrative of ex-wives and new wives.”
Going on, Katy joked about how many people would love to see her and Miranda Kerr “muck wrestling” with each other, including the model’s husband Evan Spiegel, but Katy clarified that they “love to lead because Miranda is love.” . . “And as many of you know, love comes in many familiar iterations,” she said.
Katy ends her speech by saying that she has found a sister in Miranda. “I am very grateful for our modern blended family. It’s like I have another sister who I’m usually in the main family chat sidebar with and agree with,” she said.

Miranda, for her part, thanked Katy for her “kind and heartfelt words.”
For the uninitiated, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr were married from 2010 to 2013. They also share a 10-year-old boy named Flynn. On the other hand, Bloom and Katy started dating in 2016. They got engaged in 2019. The couple welcomed their daughter, Daisy, in August 2020.
