From being a contestant on a comedy reality show to hosting one of India’s most popular and most watched comedy shows, Kapil Sharma has beautifully made his mark in the industry. Next up will be Kapil Sharma making people laugh with his jokes in a new show. Kapil Sharma: I’m not done yet, which will stream on Netflix starting January 28th. Ahead of the show, the Kapil Sharma Show host reminisced about his early days trying to make it big. He recalled trying out for BSF and in the army before coming to Mumbai to take part in a reality show.
Kapil shared: “I had no such plan. People will laugh when I tell them how I started and uncles were part of the police force. But Papa Kaafi musicians ko Jante the (my father knew many musicians) and finally introduced me to them. He wanted me to do something big or maybe creative in life.
The Hindustan Times further quoted Kapil as saying: “I remember the first time I came to Mumbai with my friends. We roamed Juhu Beach looking for directors like they had nothing better to do in life. From then to now – things have changed so much. This is Mumbai, it does. It gives scooter walas like me the opportunity to be on a stage and entertain people.”
