Kalidas Jayaram is the son of prominent south star Jayaram and his wife, actress Parvati. Being born into a family of actors, he had early experience in the industry. Kalidas Jayaram made his debut as a child artist in the 2000 film Kochu Kochu Santoshanga. He shared screen space with his father in the film at the young age of seven.
