‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali is an entertainer keeping Salman Khan’s stardom in mind’: Farhad Samji on his next film

Entertainment, After directing Akshay Kumar in films like Housefull 3, Housefull 4 and Bachchan Pandey, Farhad Samji is gearing up for his first collaboration with Salman Khan on the Sajid Nadiadwala production, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. Farhad confirmed that the film goes on floors in Mumbai from the month of April, and will hit the big screens on December 30, 2022.

“God has been very kind. I have got a chance to work with Salman Khan and I am glad that Sajid Nadiadwala has given me this opportunity on the plate and it is all because of him that this is happening. In 2001 Salman Khan was the first person who noticed my work. I always say, he is the one who brought me into this industry. With Salman, it is going to be a nostalgia ride, far beyond the bond of a director and an actor. There is more,” says Farhad. The filmmaker added, “We will make Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali with all our hearts and I hope people understand this language of love.”

What prompted him to share details on this much-awaited family film and he smiled and said, “The title of Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali gives the vibe of a festival and that’s what the film is all about.” Opening further, he said, “We are talking about love and celebration in the film. Keeping in mind the stardom of Salman Khan, it is going to be a great entertainer – Action, Comedy, Romance. So we will serve the audience with a buffet. Let me tell you, here the audience will get Sheer Khurma on Eid and Laddu on Diwali.

The film stars Venkatesh and Pooja Hegde in lead roles. The details of the plot are kept secret for now. Watch the full video interview below.
