In the city, JDA has developed several residential colonies such as Sarandhra Nagar, Pitambara Nagar, Viraganna Nagar. In these colonies, the responsibility for maintaining roads, sewers and parks rests with the authorities, but the locals often turn to the officials with their complaints. The complaint about the plight of these colonies also reached the Divisional Commissioner Dr. Ajay Shankar Pandey. The Divisional Commissioner expressed displeasure with the plight of these colonies at the JDA board meeting held thereafter and gave instructions to JDA officers to keep them in order.
