This will keep the water out of the tail and ruin farmers’ crops. The farmers complained several times to the department officials, but the situation remains the same even afterwards. As a result, anger against the irrigation department grows among the farmers.
The Chaudhary Charan Singh Pump Canal emerged from Chakkabandh through the Zamania Asna Canal. Because of this, the fields of some farmers in the villages of Jalalpur, Talaspur, Kodai, Kanjehra, Asna, Oirchak and Kakarait of the Kandwa Police Station are irrigated. Currently this canal is littered with water hyacinths and behaya etc. Farmers Pappu Singh, Gulab Yadav, Dharmendra Singh, Vinod Singh, Ballister Yadav, Ranjit Yadav etc. Farmers say that Chandraprabha block officials were often asked about the cleanliness of the canal , but even after that the cleanliness was not done. This prevents the water from reaching the farmers’ fields. The farmers have drawn the district administrator’s attention to this and demanded a solution to the problem.
