Rampur. The Kosi River is in flood after the water was released from the Ramnagar Dam. Because of the water that leaks from the banks of the river, the paths and fields have been filled in. The villagers are now threatened by flooding.
On Sunday, 31,000 Cusec water released from the Ramnagar Barrage reached the district boundary late at night. The water that reached the Lalpur Kosi barrage in the early morning hours of Monday caused a stir in the river. As soon as the boom set in, Kosi began to show his demeanor. The water that came from the river bank sank the forest paths. The residents of Khempur, Rasulpur Pasiyapura, Chandpur, Imrta, Bajawala, Khijarpur, Lalpur etc. Villages in the area are threatened by flooding.
