Immersion Of Akhand Jyot By Shouting

Jhansi. The Chaliha Mahotsav of Lord Shri Jhulelal was celebrated with devotion in the revered Sindhi Panchayat Bhawan located at Sipri Bazar. Akhand Jyoti was immersed in the holy Betwa river of Orchha with reverence on Tuesday with cheers.
A procession was taken out in Sipri in the presence of Sai ji and Saint Chhotu Ram ji from Sehra of Vadodara. The saints were welcomed by showering flowers from place to place. Sai ji of Sehra and Sant Chhotu Ram ji honored the business leaders Sanjay Patwari, Santosh Sahoo, BJP leader Pradeep Saraogi, Shalini Gurbakhshani etc. with shawls and shriphal. Vijay Keswani & Party sang melodious hymns in the function. People rejoiced at Dama Dum Mast Kalandaran. While hailing Lord Jhulelal, devotees immersed the holy flame in the Betwa river. On this occasion, President Trilokchand Lalwani, Secretary Suresh Changani, Tejbhan Changani, Manoj Khayani, Kamal Hirwani, Manohar Bajaj, Rakesh Chanchlani, Kishan Khayani, Ankush Keswani etc were the devotees.
Teejdi’s waterless fast will be kept today
The women of Sindhi society will observe a waterless fast of Teejdi festival on Wednesday. This festival is celebrated like Karva Chauth. All the married women will break the fast after seeing the moon at night. Shalini Nainwani of Sindhi society told that a day before fasting, henna is made on the hands. The fast of Teejdi is observed by all the married women of the society. The long life of the husband is prayed by worshiping Teejadi Mata. Harsha Sindhi told that this tradition of fasting is centuries old. All the women observing the fast perform puja together.
