With the help of IITs, 50 oxygen systems are to be built nationwide. In the first phase, plants will be built in 10 cities including Kanpur. The system installations begin in the last week of June. Based on the technology, these plants will produce more at less cost.The system produces 500 liters of oxygen per minute. To overcome the oxygen crisis in the country, IIT launched Mission Bharat o2 last month. Head of Innovation and Incubation Center Prof. Shrikant Shastri, Director of the Foundation for Innovation and Research in Science Technology, Amitabh Bandopadhyay, said various manufacturing and design companies were invited as part of the mission.

As part of the campaign, AIPL, an IIT incubated company, built an oxygen system. Four companies from Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Kolkata and Chennai also work together with the companies Aniket Patel and Achin Agarwal.

The system was successfully tested at the IIT. Currently, these plants are being built next to Kanpur in 10 cities including Noida, Greater Noida, Kaushambi, Haryana, Bhopal, Mysore. In the next phase, plants will be built in 50 other cities.
