Kolkata Knight Riders went against Delhi Capitals on April 10 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Both teams advanced into the competition on the basis of opposite results. While KKR registered a resounding five-wicket win over Mumbai Indians, Delhi suffered a six-wicket loss to Lucknow Super Giants.
Meanwhile, their two key players, the captain Shreyas Iyer And bowling all-rounder Shardul Thakur, in typical Mumbai style, indulged in a hilarious joke. Both of them started their respective cricket careers in Mumbai and are also aware of each other’s techniques.

In the latest video posted by KKR on their official Twitter handle, both Iyer and Thakur praised each other before clarifying their point of view ahead of the competition.
“You are ready to see another sample in Brabourne today. Tujhe toh my record know hi there ka”, said Shreyas Iyer.
“If you are from Mumbai, what is going on with Shana? Do you know that tereko kitne kinkle nikle hai nets mein tera?”, asked Shardul Thakur.
“See you on the field today”, he said.

The KKR skipper would be hoping to make an impact against KKR. In the last four matches, Shreyas Iyer has scored only 69 runs at an average of 23 at a strike rate of 138. He hasn’t scored a half-century yet. Shardul Thakur, on the other hand, will also be desperate to rediscover his rhythm with both bat and ball.
He has scored 24 runs in three matches at an average of 12 and a strike rate of 150. The Palghar cricketer has taken only one wicket in three matches at an economy rate of 10.11. As far as the field match is concerned, Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and decided to bowl first.
