Id Cards Will Be Made For Workers In The Unorganized Sector

Small farmers, agricultural labourers, cattle herders, fish sellers, cobblers, brick kiln workers, street vendors, house workers, newspaper distributors, carpenters, pipe fittings, rickshaws and autos Rickshaw operators, MGNREGA workers, milk vendors, workers transferred from one city to another, hair salon artisans, Asha workers, tea vendors and such workers who are not associated with any organization can get a unique ID made.
For this, you can register by visiting any public service center. Unique ID cards of unorganized workers from CHCs will be made from e-shram portal. There are thousands of unorganized workers in the district, but they do not get the benefits of the schemes of the Ministry of Labor. If these people register, then they will get the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and the government will also bear the cost of one year (Rs 12). After registration, the movements of the workers and from which state to which they are going, will be easily tracked through the unique ID.
Eligibility for Registration
Applicant age should be between 16 to 59 years, applicant should not have PF (EPFO) and ESI (ESIC) account, applicant should not be income tax payer. Also, the applicant should not be a member of any organized group or organization, the applicant must have Aadhar card number, bank account and mobile number.
