Saharapur. The youth of Saharanpur filed a complaint with the ASCI (Advertising Standards Council of India) calling the advertisement of a company that buys and sells cars ridiculous for the male society. After that, that part of the ad was removed.
The complainant, Raghavapuram-based Vaibhav Kamboj, said that in that ad, two women are telling and laughing about the benefits of the company that sells the car and comparing the car to the husband and saying that we will copy this feature 100 percent and if the husband doesn’t like it, then back in seven days. He felt very bad seeing this advertisement as it sends a ridiculous message to male society. Vaibhav sent a complaint to ASCI on May 3rd via the WhatsApp number, whereupon ASCI took notice and on June 4th sent an email instructing them to remove this part from the ad. After that, this part was removed from the said advertisement.
Vaibhav said a year ago he filed a complaint against an advert from a paint company in which a woman slapped her husband in an advert called Kya Haal Hai Chunilal. This part was also removed from the ad following his complaint.
