The actress said in an interview to Anupama Chopra at Cannes that she was “disappointed” to not be invited to the opening ceremony at the Cannes 2022 Indian Pavilion. She called for the ‘elite system’ that still exists in the entertainment business.

She said, “You know we all belong to the same industry. We are from the entertainment business. We have all come here to represent India. And I am very excited about the launch of my film’s poster. They know That I will come to the India pavilion. I will launch the poster of my film. I was very excited, then the news came… Before that I want to tell you that this is the elite system, the elite game that still exists. The opening ceremony which is Happened at the Indian pavilion. Hina clearly said that things may change but there is still a long way to go. “I’m welcome and at the same time, it’s hard to make up your own space and place.
