In SRH’s last match against CSK, Abhishek Sharma was adjudged the player of the match.

Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Gujarat Titans, one of the two new entrants, in a group stage match of the Indian Premier League (IPL).IPL) 2022, which is being played at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai. SRH, after suffering a few defeats, has managed to get back on track by defeating defending champions Chennai Super Kings in the previous match.

After a few poor outings, young opener Abhishek Sharma lived up to the expectations in the previous match and was adjudged the player of the match. The left-handed batsman played a brilliant innings of 75 runs in 50 balls, which included five fours and three sixes. Abhishek and Captain Kane Williamson Added 89 runs for the first wicket, a well-established chase of 155 for SRH.

After playing a crucial innings, Abhishek emphasized that spending time with batting coach Brian Lara has helped him live up to his potential.

“After the second game, we took four days’ rest. During the practice session at that time, Brian Sir not only helped me but many youngsters in the team. He told me, in particular, to only think positively and be wise to pick balls (to go later). I just followed him and it has helped me a lot,” said Abhishek during his interaction with SRH.

“We all know that when Kane plays well he makes sure we win. He just told me that he will play his natural game and I should go with my instincts to have my role as his opening partner.

Meanwhile, SRH restricted the freshmen to 162/7 in their 20 overs, after opting to bowl first against GT. Fast bowlers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and T Natarajan took two wickets each for Orange Army. Captain Hardik Pandya remained unbeaten on 50 for GT. SRH need 163 runs to win their second match in a row.
