According to reports, Smith is in India to meet spiritual leader Sadhguru after the incident at the Oscars, where he slapped comedian Chris Rock on stage, leading to speculation on his personal life. Comedian Vir Das slammed the actor and welcomed Smith, saying he can now learn to slap the comedian with legal matters.
Sharing a note on Instagram, Vir Das captioned it, “Welcome welcome.” His note read, “Is Smith in India? Well. He can learn to stop slapping the comedian with his hands and start slapping him with legal matters.” His comments section garnered various reactions from his followers. While many ridiculed Smith for referring to his Oscar slapgate, some expressed sympathy for him.
