News Desk, Amar Ujala, Sikandrau (Hathras). A farmer resident of village Arnot of the area was given a loan waiver certificate by waiving a loan of Rs 67,432 under the state government’s crop loan redemption scheme. Now the bank has issued a notice for recovery showing the same amount as outstanding on it. The farmer is in a dilemma what to do if he does. It is a matter of regret that he is tired of going to the bank, but he has not been heard there yet. Farmer Parvez son Hameed, a resident of Arnauth village, told that he had received about 70 thousand rupees from Gramin Bank of Ayavart in the year 2015. Had taken crop loan. Due to some reason he could not repay the loan. After this, the BJP government formed in the state waived his loan of Rs 67,432 under the crop loan redemption scheme. He was also given a loan waiver certificate during a program. It is clearly written in the certificate that this money has been credited to his account, but in the month of April, a notice was also sent to him by the bank for repayment of the loan by registered post. It is clearly stated in this notice that he has not repaid the loan. He should repay the loan in time, otherwise the outstanding amount of the loan will be recovered from him by sending Recovery Certificate (RC). After getting the notice, the farmers were shocked. He is making rounds of the bank with the redemption certificate, but there is not even a hearing, far from solving his problem. Farmers are worried that how to pay the money which has been waived from the government. The victim farmers should bring a photocopy of the loan redemption certificate to me. He will send it to the bank manager. If the bank has given the notice wrongly, then action will be taken against the concerned as per rules.-Manoj Kumar Singh, Sub-Collector Sikandrau
