Students who live in villages are also given the opportunity to have a better higher education. To this end, an agreement was signed between the Common Service Center and Amity University Online. After that, an estimated 15 Lakh students in rural areas across the country can now enroll in undergraduate and graduate courses.
Schools and universities are closed during the Corona period. There is a system of online education in private schools and urban colleges, but many public schools and colleges do not. For this reason, this scheme was implemented. In the first phase, courses such as BA, BCom, BCA, BBA, and MCA will be available online for undergraduate and postgraduate courses from Amity University. These courses are offered through more than 5,000 CSC academies across the country and more than 14 CSC academies in the district. The CSC Academy is the education and CSR unit of CSC. Given the language barriers faced by students in rural India, some courses such as BA and BCom are also offered in Hindi. After enrolling for the course at the CSC Academy Center, the student can take Amity’s online courses. Amity will also create special courses for the students through the CSC Academy. Amity online programs are widely accepted worldwide and this move will be a huge boost to increasing the educational base in rural India. The Amity Online team will provide comprehensive support for students to enroll.
Pradeep Singh and Pradeep Kumar, District Managers of CSC, say this is an attempt to provide high quality education to students and youth in rural areas. This will give women in remote rural areas who miss higher education due to social inequality and patriarchy new study opportunities. Your connection with Amity Online is an important step in that direction and complements the Prime Minister’s vision of Digital India serving the educational needs of rural India. Partnering with Amity will also help them reach out to the rural youth with futuristic skills like AI, machine learning, and blockchain.
