All markets in the city remained closed on Tuesday during Corona’s curfew. The markets were quiet all day, and the streets were also deserted. People bought their bare minimums in the morning and in the evening. The number of passengers at the train station and street bus stands has decreased compared to before. It also affected the Hathras Depot income.
To break the chain of corona infection, the government has imposed a lockdown across the state from 8 a.m. on Friday evening to 7 a.m. Thursday morning. During the lockdown, there has been silence since the morning in the markets of Ramlila Maidan, Talab Square, Punjabi Market, Bainiganj, Ghantaghar, Sasni Gate, etc.
People go out mornings and evenings to buy milk, fruit, vegetables, medicines, and groceries. The number of passengers at the bus stand has remained negligible. Depot employees also do not come to work for fear of infection. For this reason, street buses cannot run either. There is a great hurry in the drugstores.
