Hathras: Dm Expressed Displeasure After Seeing The Mess In Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls Hostel

DM Ramesh Ranjan along with Chief Development Officer RB Bhaskar made a surprise inspection of Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls Hostel built by UP CIDCO, the executive organization in Rati Ka Nagla of Block Hasayan. During the inspection, he took information from the executing agency about the start and cost of construction work and the remaining works.
Executive Engineer RK Niranjan of the executive organization said that approval was received for the construction of the hostel in 2017, after which the construction work was started. An amount of Rs 170 lakh was approved for the construction work. Right now the payment of about Rs 25 lakh is pending. Electricity connection and water supply are to be arranged in the bathroom, a submersible for water system and a hand pump have been installed in the courtyard. A tank has been kept for continuous supply of water and a total of 26 rooms, a dining hall, kitchen have been built in the hostel. Out of which 13 rooms have been built on the ground floor and 13 rooms on the first floor.
Each room has accommodation for 04 girl students. The District Magistrate expressed dissatisfaction over the cleanliness system. Instructions were given to the executing organization to operate the system of cleanliness, electricity connection and water supply immediately, as well as to install lattice on the windows, to make arrangements for fans and lights in the rooms and to complete the remaining works immediately.
