Hardoi. Kiln owners have also opened a front after the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board issued a notice to close 74 brick kilns of the district. It was told in the meeting of the Brick Manufacturers Welfare Committee that if the kiln owners who have license and consent of the pollution control department, if they have got the notices, then the committee will fight the next battle vigorously. In the meeting of the Brick Manufacturers Welfare Committee held at a hotel located on Ghantaghar Marg in the city, District President Mukesh Agarwal said that notices have been issued to close 74 kilns. There are many such kilns which have the consent of the pollution control department. He said that the fight for such kilns would be fought with full force. It was also said that the license to operate the kiln is obtained from the district panchayat only when the no-objection certificate is given by the pollution control department. So this list should have been tested. There are also many kilns which do not have the consent of the pollution control department, but notices have not been given to them. Committee General Secretary Yogendra Dutt Mishra said that notices have also been issued to many such kilns which have been closed many years ago. In this case, the department should re-examine.
