Widening of Garh-Meerut road will start next month
Hapur. The work of widening the Garh-Meerut highway will be started next month. For this, 93 percent acquisition work has been completed in 8 villages. The journey from Meerut to Garh will become comfortable. The acquisition is almost complete in the villages of Meerut district also.
The widening exercise of Meerut-Garh NH-709A has intensified. With the work of land acquisition being expedited, the process of its construction is also being completed. There is to be widening of this road from two lane to four lane between Garh to Meerut. NHAI teams have also prepared a list of the number of vehicles passing through this route every day after conducting a survey. The land acquisition work in the villages falling in Meerut district is almost complete. At the same time, in Hapur also this work has been carried out on a war footing. So far, more than 93 percent of the land has been acquired and money has been given to the farmers. In such a situation, if everything goes well, then in the month of October, the work of widening this road will start rapidly.
Highway coming out of these villages of Hapur
Land is being acquired in eight villages of the district namely Badarkha, Dautai, Khilwai, Janupura, Poupai, Nizampur Hiranpura, Lodhipur Sobhan, Nanpur. Under this, a total compensation of 110 crores is to be distributed in Hapur. Against this, 93 percent compensation has been distributed.
More than ten thousand vehicles pass daily-
The team doing survey between Meerut fort said that more than ten thousand vehicles pass through this highway in a day. There is also a significant number of loaded trucks that ply on this road all night. Around three thousand big trucks pass through here in a day.
