The Pilkhuwa Community Development Board meeting, convened for the fourth time on Friday, met with resistance from members. 75 crore budget could not be decided for the development of the city due to the lack of a majority of the members. At the meeting, 17 members spoke out against the budget and seven members supported the adoption of the budget. For the past two and a half years, the public has borne the brunt of the scramble between the mayor, the PO and the councilors.

A board meeting chaired by Mayor Geeta Goel was convened on Friday to approve the budget for the financial year 2021/22 in the auditorium. SDM Dhaulana also appeared at the meeting on the instructions of the DM. He urged all members to agree to the proposal and referred to the development of the city. In response, member Sanjay Chetan Rana said that the city had not developed in the past two years. Work on the old tenders has not started to this day. Roads were not built in necessary places and roads were built where it was not necessary. He said a road worth 26 lakhs was built on just paper. The municipality board meeting takes place only during the adoption of the budget. He was supported by Sanjeev Sharma, Manoj Headley, Sushil Tomar, Vikas Tomar and other members. On the other hand, Kusum, Katto Devi, Gajraj Kori, Premchand, Manoj Headley, Kavita Rani, Sanjay Chetan Rana, Sanjeev Kumar, Sushil Kumar, Lokesh, Bhavna Sharma, Amrin Bano, Pradeep Kumar, Vikas Tomar, Anshul Mittal, Omvir, Sabila was in opposition, Sunita was absent from the vote. The budget could not be passed due to a lack of majority. The meeting was attended by Managing Director Vikas Kumar, Auditor Navjit Saxena and other municipal staff.
