Hapur. Although the district has developed through the construction of motorways and freight corridors, 46 roads in the surrounding area have become dilapidated. In places deep pits have been created and waterlogging occurs. In this regard, the Public Works Department has sent letters to NHAI Moradabad, NHAI Ghaziabad and DFCCI asking them to repair the roads. Although this letter has been sent earlier, no action has been taken by the departments concerned.
Development work is being carried out to relieve traffic in the district and the surrounding area. Among other things, the Delhi-Meerut-Expressway, the Ghaziabad-Moradabad-Highway 9 and the rail freight corridor are being built. For this purpose, soil was poured out of the dump truck for filling in many villages in the district. In some places this work will be continued. This damaged 46 rural roads. These roads have deep potholes and roads have been uprooted. Drivers face a lot of problems on these roads. The villagers are also plagued by dust and accidents. The Public Works Department has sent a letter through DM to NHAI Ghaziabad, NHAI Moradabad and DFCCI, the organization that is creating the freight corridor. The letter said that the roads in these villages had become dilapidated as the dump truck passed by. In such a situation, these roads should be repaired by the departments concerned at their own expense. Although this letter was sent earlier, it was not heard. Now the letter has been sent again.
15 tons of road capacity, 50 tons of dump trucks
According to official data, the capacity of the roads in rural areas is 15 tons. A dumper filled with earth weighs around 50 tons. This construction work has been going on in the district for three years. In such a situation, some roads are in very poor condition and drivers have to work very hard to get through them.
The soil for the construction of highways etc. in the district and the surrounding area was taken from the villages in the countryside. 46 streets in the district were damaged by the dumpers installed for this work.
