Sweet and baby corn, grown for the first time in Maharajganj District, will prove to be profitable agriculture for farmers. By cultivating it, farmers can make good profits with less cost and less time. Farmers in Haryana and Punjab get rich by growing baby and sweet corn. Now the farmers of Purvanchal have started it too. The farmers of the area try to learn by seeing the cultivation in the village of Mahdeva.
Rohit Singh Tomar is responsible for the IFFCO E-Bazaar Kisan Seva Kendra in the city of Farenda. When he visited the Indian Council of Agriculture Research fair, he thought about growing baby corn in addition to sweet corn. He said that after returning from Mass in March, he leased an acre of land from a farmer in Mahdeva, Farenda, on which, in addition to growing sweet and baby corn, six other types of red Mary’s fingers, beans, coriander and pumpkin and cucumber were grown in the trial. The result was much better too. He said that the farmers in the area come every day to find out more about this type of agriculture.
