The Rudraksh International Convention Center, a symbol of friendship between Japan and India, in Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency, operates under the supervision of Smart City. The referral letter was signed between officials from CPWD and Smart City. The handover process took place in the auditorium of the commissioner in the presence of the chairman of Smart City, Divisional Commissioner Deepak Agarwal, CEO Gaurang Rathi. The transfer letter between Smart City and CPWD was signed in the presence of D. Vasudevan, General Manager, Smart City, Vinay Tiwari, Project Leader, CPWD, Jitendra Singh, Executive Engineer. Details of the center’s drawings, floor plan, list of existing equipment, permits, list of building keys, etc. have been given to Varanasi Smart City. Puneet Pandey, Suman Roy from Smart City, AK Gupta, Chief Engineer from CPWD, Manikandan from Fujita Corporation, Arun Mishra etc. were present.

Seating for 1200 people together in the center
The center has seating for 1200 people at the same time. Precautions have been taken to divide the hall into 2 parts according to the number of people. The congress center is fully air-conditioned. In addition to the large hall, there is a conference room with a capacity of 150 people. In addition, a VIP room and four green rooms were built here. The entire campus is designed to be handicapped accessible.

The foundation stone for the Rudraksh Convention Center, a symbol of Indo-Japanese friendship over the years, was laid in 2015 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. The center has developed into an important center of cultural and modern meeting. The center, which was built for 186 crores, is in the shape of Shivling. It’s a unique convention center in itself. In which the confluence of Japanese and Indian architectural styles is visible.
In the outer part of the center, 108 symbolic aluminum rudrakshas were installed. Japanese-style gardens and landscaping were also created in the three-acre convention center complex. In order to make the parking garage accessible, 120 vehicles were parked in the basement. CCTV cameras have also been installed in the center for security. In addition to the line connection for the power supply, an arrangement for solar power was also made.
