Bargaon (Saharanpur). Following the complaint from the villagers, the Lekhpal and Kanungo investigated the government ration dealer of Jadauda Panda village on Tuesday on instructions from SDM Rampur Maniharan and found him in the Panchayat house in the government ration. Afterwards the ration was handed over to the village chief because of possible disturbances.
Sandeep’s son, Omdutt Tyagi, a resident of the village of Jadauda Panda, alleged in a letter of complaint to SDM Rampur Maniharan that his village’s ration dealer is black-marketing by misappropriating government ration available to the poor. Following the villager’s complaint, the SDM sent Lekhpal Vinod Kumar and Kanungo Sachin Chaudhary on Tuesday to investigate the matter. The investigation found that the rations distributed to the villagers were being kept in the Panchayat house instead of the godown. The villagers Sandeep, Devendra, Arvind, etc. claim before him that the trader has been black marketing government rations through manipulation for many days.
Kanungo Sachin Chaudhary said the distribution of ration among the poor in the Panchayat building of the village itself was in doubt instead of going to godown. Therefore, after the ration found in the Panchayat House was handed over to village head Shalu Tyagi, the investigation report was sent to the senior officials. On the other hand, the ration dealer Satish Kumar says that the remaining government ration was kept in the camp in the Panchayat house due to lack of space. SDM Rampur Maniharan SN Sharma says an investigation has been conducted into the villagers’ complaint. Action will be taken upon receipt of the investigation report.
