Government approves the construction of the Malan River sliding bridge
Najibabad. The MLA has given the government permission to build the Malan River sliding bridge on Puranpur-Jattiwala Road. LonVI will build a sliding bridge over the Malan River for 1.6 billion rupees.
Dozens of villagers in the area ran into trouble because of the rise of the Chhoti Malan River on the Puranpur-Bijori-Jattiwala Road in Tehsil Village. Most of the Sikh community lives in agriculture. The movement of about a dozen villages in the area was hampered by water coming from the Malan River.
At the request of the residents of Puranpur, Bijori, Jattiwala, Biruwala and Taharpur, MLA Haji Tasleem Ahmed had sent the government a proposal to build a bridge over the Malan river section on 11 km of the Puranpur-Jattiwala road. The government has approved the construction of a 30-meter-long Malan River sliding bridge at a cost of 1.60 billion rupees. LONIV Assistant Engineer Satish Sharma said the bridge construction will start after the rains. MLA Haji Tasleem Ahmed also raised the problem of the disconnection of several villages due to the water filling of the Malan River sliding bridge on the Bijori-Jattiwala Road in front of the spokesman for the assembly, Hriday Narayan Dixit, last March.
