Tundla (Firozabad). The cow vansh collided with Lucknow-bound Intercity Express near Balrai on Kanpur railway line. After the incident, the pressure pipe of the locomotive burst and the train came to a standstill. Due to this the down rail track was affected for about an hour. More than half a dozen goods trains were affected during this period.

At eight o’clock in the morning, the cows came on the railway track through the fields near gate number 40C of pole number 1184/12 in the western direction of Balrai railway station and collided with the train’s engine. Due to the collision with the engine, the rags of two cows were blown away. The rags got stuck inside the locomotive and with the technical failure in the engine, the pressure pipe also burst. Due to this the engine stopped working after some time.
The driver tried to repair the engine, but without success. The driver hurriedly informed the control office, Tundla. After this the important trains coming behind were parked. On the instructions of the railway officials, the team of departmental employees left for the spot. The team reached the spot, after about one and a half hours of hard work, pulled out the cow trapped in the engine and at 9:35, the train was dispatched to the destination.
