Devlad Brevis managed to get the wicket of Virat Kohli in his first over.
Indian senior batsman Virat Kohli praised young Mumbai Indians batsman Devald Brevis after the group stage match played between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI) on April 9 (Saturday). The 33-year-old met Brevis after the match and asked him if the batsman was having a good time in the Indian Premier League (IPL).IPL), to which Brevis replied that he was having a good time.
To note, Red Army managed to overtake the five-time champions by a comfortable margin of seven wickets, with nine balls to spare. RCB opener Anuj Rawat was adjudged the player of the match for his crucial knock of 66 runs in just 47 balls including two fours and six sixes.

In the 19 second video uploaded by Mi’s official Twitter handle, Kohli The youngster can be seen shaking hands with the South African batsman and mocking Brevis for getting better during RCB’s chase. Note, Kohli was batting on 48 off just 36 balls when he was adjudged LBW by the umpire off Brevis. Notably, the young Proteas player dismissed Kohli on the very first ball of his IPL career.

Returning to the match, RCB captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and invited Mumbai to bat first. The opening pair of Ishan Kishan and captain Rohit Sharma put on a crucial 50-run partnership. However, right after the powerplay, the MI captain was removed by pacer Harshal Patel. Kishan was then paired with Brevis, but the two could only add ten runs before a collapse took place. MI were looking down and out on 79/6. However, the batting of Suryakumar Yadav (68 off 37 balls) ensured that they finished with a respectable total of 151/6.
Chasing the target of 152 runs, RCB did not stop at all in chasing their target. Heavy contributions from openers Anuj Rawat (66 off 47 balls) and Virat Kohli (48 off 36 balls) ensured that the Red Army chased down the target with ease. Captain Faf du Plessis (16 off 24 balls), Dinesh Karthik (7 off 2 balls) and Glenn Maxwell (8 off 2 balls) made other contributions for RCB.
