Due to the arbitrariness of the responsible shopping center in two procurement centers in Monti and Kaserakala, no wheat was procured from the farmers.
Wheat was bought from farmers by opening an equivalent shopping center here. Farmers complained about this to DM Navneet Singh Chahal and other senior officials. The DM had the Food and Marketing Officer and SDM Mont examined. After that, the relevant shopping center reached the centers and started buying wheat. Javara-based farmer Kishan Singh said that wheat is now being weighed by the responsible mall.
‘Make Tara available to the malls’
The managing director of the SWC (State Ware Corporation), Shrikant Goswami, inquired on Tuesday via video conference about the wheat procurement in Mathura. He directed the deputy RMO to deliver to Bardana in all malls. At the same time, farmers were asked to ensure 100 percent wheat procurement via an e-pop machine.
So far, more than 61,000 tons of wheat have been purchased
By May 24th last year, three lakh 30,000 600 tons of wheat had been bought from farmers. This time, however, a total of 61,000 59 tons of wheat were bought. So far last year 5849 farmers and 14403 farmers have benefited this time. Last year Rs 5895 lakh was paid to the farmers. At the same time so far this year 12059 lakh rupees have been paid to farmers.
