PDDU Nagar. Passengers receive facilities such as the world class airport at Gaya Station on the Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Railway Division. Preparations have begun to make Gaya a world class train station for 173 billion rupees. An initiative was taken with Gaya to make Rajendra Nagar Terminal, Singrauli, Muzaffarpur and Begusarai stations under the East Central Railway world-class stations with state-of-the-art passenger facilities.
Rajesh Kumar, East Central Railway’s chief public relations officer, said that as part of the station refurbishment project, Railways had planned to undertake the refurbishment of 123 stations across the country as part of a public-private partnership. In this series, five stations of the East Central Railway, Gaya, Rajendra Nagar Terminal, Muzaffarpur, Begusarai and Singrauli are to be expanded in a world-class way. At these stations, shopping centers and multi-purpose buildings are being built on railway grounds. The station will be developed according to the standards for solar energy, energy efficiency and “green building”. A plan for the redevelopment of Gaya by Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Mandal made.
After the renovation work is complete, passengers will receive first-class facilities such as the airport at Gaya station. The passenger facilities at this station will be converted accordingly, based on the estimated passenger numbers for the year 2065 (peak times). The refurbishment of Gaya station will cost Rs 173 crore. The entry and exit gates for arrival and departure at Gaya station must be designed in such a way that the passengers are not overloaded. Access control gates at the train station as well as escalators and elevators will be installed on every platform. This makes it easier for passengers to move them from one platform to another. At the station there will be food, laundry, drinking water, ATM and internet.
