Ganpati idol immersed in Yamuna
Karaana. The Ganesha idol was immersed in Yamuna on Wednesday at the end of the five-day long Shri Ganesh festival.
On the occasion of Shri Ganesh Chaturthi, last Friday, a Ganesh idol was installed in the temple of Mata Santoshi Devi located in Mohalla Gumbad under the aegis of Ganpati Seva Samiti. Devotees were offering Maha Aarti and worship of Lord Ganesha every morning and evening. On Wednesday morning, devotees performed Maha Aarti and worship of Lord Ganesha. After this a huge bhandara was organized. After offering Bhog to Lord Ganesha, the devotees took prasad of pudding puri and curry rice. Around four o’clock in the evening, the city circumambulation of Shri Ganesh idol was done with drums. Later, on the banks of the Yamuna river, Ganpati Bappa Morya, the next year you came early and the hymns started resonating. The idol of Ganapati was immersed in the Yamuna along with the chanting. On this occasion, Anil Goyal, Sushil Halwai, Amarnath, Sonu Neta, Sushil Kumar etc. of Shri Ganapati Seva Samiti were supported.
Devotees worship on Goga Navami
Shamli. Worship was organized on the occasion of Shri Goga Navami at Guru Gorakhnath Temple located at Mohalla Railpar. The chief guest was the temple president Ramkumar Upadhyay. He said that from 23rd August to 19th September in the month of Bhadrapada, Shri Jaharveer Goga Navami is celebrated with great pomp and gaiety. Special prasad of lentils and onions is offered to Jaharveer Goga. On the occasion of Goga Navami on Wednesday, a procession of Jaharveer’s stick was also taken out after offering prayers in the temple. The chadi procession started from the temple and ended through Tej Singh Colony, Punjabi Colony, Gurdwara Tiraha and went back to the temple. The devotees welcomed the stick procession from place to place and asked for vows by tying blue clothes, fans, Kalava on sticks. He said that on September 19, a huge Bhandara would also be organized in the temple premises on Goga Chaudas. A large number of women, men and children including Ramkishan Upadhyay, Dushyant, Shivkumar, Satendra, Sunil Goharni, Kailash, Dharmendra Upadhyay, Manoj Upadhyay, Sanjay Upadhyay were also present on this occasion.
