Ganga Expressway will run through 30 Tehsils from 12 districts and will cost approximately Rs 36410 crore

Plots are to be acquired in 20 villages in Soraon Tehsil of the district for the construction of the expressway from Meerut to Prayagraj. From this the land was acquired by more than 23 hundred tenants. According to the administrative officials, work on the acquisition of land from the remaining tenants has started again. The aim is to complete the acquisition work by June. Soraon SDM was given responsibility for the acquisition.

Land acquisition work for the Ganga Expressway in the district had already started in January. This work is carried out by the Tehsildar under the direction of Soraon SDM. According to ADM Finance MP Singh, a total of 3,600 farmers in the district have been identified for land purchase as per the alignment for the Ganga Expressway. Of this, 50 percent of the land had been acquired by March. But then the acquisition work stalled due to the second corona wave.

During this lockdown was also imposed. For this reason, the acquisition work was put on hold. But now that the transition has subsided, the work of land acquisition has resumed. Wherever there is Gram Sabha land. That too was acquired. So far, the property is to be acquired by around 13 hundred tenants. You will be contacted. Declaration dates are set. So that they can be brought to the Tehsil and the land document can be dealt with.
On the other hand, preparations are underway to put the building out to tender from the state. It is reported that 11 companies have expressed their desire to build the expressway. Companies from Malaysia and South Korea are also available. These companies will soon be visited by the government on site so they can understand the scope of the work. Then the bid is called.A total budget of Rs.36410 crore is spent on this express. It will run through 30 Tehsils from 12 districts. After Meerut, it reaches Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh and then Prayagraj. In Prayagraj it is obtained through villages like Bari, Sarai Nandan aka Samaspur, Sarai Madan Singh aka Chanti, Sarai Bharat aka Holagarh, Sarai Hariram, Khemkaranpur, Madhopur, Malak Chaturi etc. Land is acquired in these villages.
