Meerut. The preparations for Ganesh Chaturthi have started in the city. The festival will start from 10th September. This time the festival will be celebrated with double enthusiasm and the king of Lal Bagh will be given a grand welcome. Ganpati Bappa will be seated in every house. The idols are being finalized at the sculptors.
Ganesh Utsav will be organized at more than 30 places in the city. Preparations for setting up Ganesh Pandal have been completed. In the houses where Ganesh ji will be installed from two to six feet. At the same time, Gajanan from five to 16 feet will be seated in the pandals. The entire family of sculptors is engaged in making and finalizing the idol.
Director of Thapar Nagar Murti Kala Kendra Vinod said that this time a large number of people have got idols made on advance order. Most of the sculptures are made of clay. Eco friendly colors are being used in these. Special events will be organized in three major Ganesh temples of the city.
In the year 2020, there was a ban on mass events due to Kovid-19. Ganesh Puja programs remained confined to homes. This time in Surajkund, Nehru Nagar, Prahlad Nagar, Jagriti Vihar, Kankarkheda, Brahmapuri and old city, a large number of people are preparing for Ganesh Puja. Due to this there is a demand for idols of all sizes.

The festival will run from 10 to 18 September
Ganesh installation will be done on 10th September. The festival will continue till September 18 and Ganpati Visarjan will take place on September 19. People passing through the main squares of the city will be able to get the darshan of Lord Ganesha every day. Hundreds of people will attend the morning aarti in the evening. Some people make Lord Ganesha sit in the house for five days and some for seven days. According to tradition, aarti and worship is done for 10 days. This time eight days will be organized according to the planetary constellations.

Lord Ganesha bestows knowledge nirvana

Shri Ganesh was born at midday on the Chaturthi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. At that time Monday was Swati Nakshatra, Leo Ascendant and Abhijit Muhurta. At the time of birth of Shri Ganeshji, all the auspicious planets were creating Panchagrahi Yoga in the horoscope. Modak (Laddus), Durva grass and red colored flowers are very dear to Ganesha.

Place cloves and betel nut in front of the idol of Ganesha. Whenever you want to go to work, take a clove and betel nut with you, then the work will be accomplished. Suck the clove and bring the betel nut back and put it in front of Ganesh ji and while going, chant Jai Ganesh, bite trouble.
