The flood-affected people in the Khadda area, who have been feeling relief from the floods for a few days, have started due to the incessant rains. Due to the rain in the hills of Nepal, 2 lakh 64,000 cusec water was released into the river from the Valmikinagar Dam on July 2 at 1 p.m. At four o’clock in the evening, however, the discharge dropped to 2 lakh 15 thousand 100 cusec. Due to the increased runoff, the water level at the Bhaisahan level station reached 40 cm above the warning point at 4 p.m. on Friday. It is located 60 cm below the danger point.
Due to the rise in the water level, the river water reaches the lower part of the villages such as Marchahwa, Basantpur, Shivpur, Hariharpur, Narayanpur, Salikpur, Mahdeva etc. via the Gandak River. Izhar Ansari, Anand Kushwaha, Narsingh Prasad, Pradhanpati Hiraman Nishad, Nathuni Kushwaha, Rambhuj, etc. from the Reta area reported that the water had reached the lower part of the village due to the rise in the water level.
