In Varanasi, a case was registered against the Phoolpur police station against the service provider and two other people in order to provide the corona-infected patient with an air ambulance. The police have started investigating the case.Tejbahadur Singh, the brother of former Ghazipur MP Radhemohan Singh, was admitted to the BHU on April 22nd because of an infection with corona. When his condition became critical, he was contacted by the Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad. When the family members talked about being treated by the Apollo Hospital, they first booked an ambulance by paying 13.10 lakh. After paying 6.16 lakh at Babatpur Airport, the Panchmukhi Air Ambulance Service Provider asked him to arrive at 4pm on April 26th. The family arrived at the airport with the infected patient at the scheduled time. After failing to meet the scheduled time, the company was told that the ambulance would arrive at nine o’clock at night. The ambulance did not even come at nine o’clock at night, and after repeated contact and pressure, the ambulance reached Babatpur Airport at eleven o’clock. When the family got to the ambulance, they did not even have access to first aid and oxygen was not available.

When the family protested, the ambulance people left the patient. Thereafter, Gangasagar Singh, the victim’s younger brother, reported the Phulpur Police Station police against the company, apart from Dr. Abhilash and Captain Purnek. The police have filed a lawsuit about this. Phulpur inspector Durgesh Mishra said the investigation was initiated by registering a case.
