Suhwal. On the Zamania-Saidaraja National Ram Marg, which connects the district headquarters, four lanes can soon be given. For the 56 km long road, NHAI took care of the formalities and sent the proposal to the Union’s Ministry of Road Transport. This four-lane connection will connect the district headquarters over the Ganges with Syedaraja, Zamania, Harpur, Tajpur, Malsa-Medinipur. At the same time, two-lane road works for vehicles over the railway-road bridge built next to the old Hameed Setu on the Ganges near Medinipur are ongoing. It is expected that the planned four-lane route will run through this route. Vikas Chandra, CPM of RVNL, says a contract has already been signed with NHAI for Rs 347 crore to build bridges for vehicles. Time is saved where traffic from the foreland becomes more convenient.
It is said that an exercise related to the four-lane motorway was also carried out in the past, but the apathy of the departments caused chaos. It is expected that with the approval of the government proposal, funds for the construction will be approved this time. The Ghazipur-Zamania-Saidaraja road is exposed to maximum traffic pressure. Thousands of small and large vehicles pass this route every day, which leads to the provinces of Ballia, Chhapra, Siwan, Mau, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Bahraich, Azamgarh, Jaunpur, Nepal, Basti as well as Bengal, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh etc. The NHAI Varanasi engineer Amit Kumar Ojha said the proposal for four-lane travel was sent to the Union’s Ministry of Road Transport two months ago. It was announced that once this proposal has been approved, the rest of the process will be initiated swiftly.
